The Mark 33 armour is defined by its angular polygonal shape, which is accentuated by the additional chest armour with the sharp shoulderpads that point outwards. The Silver Centurion minifigure is bound to excite LEGO Marvel Super Heroes fans as it’s the very first Iron Man minifigure with an additional piece of armour (the Hulk Buster suit doesn’t count obviously). Also included are some transparent studs for the repulsor effect from his palms, as well as two 1 x 1 round bricks for leg propulsion. Here are the contents of the polybag, 12 pieces that make up the Silver Centurion minifigure. Strangely enough, the polybag is branded with Avengers Age of Ultron which is odd since the Mk 33 Armour didn’t show up in that movie. It was my favourite and most memorable scene of the movie, so it’s great that we’re getting yet another Iron Man suit. The Silver Centurion armour or Mark 33 featured quite briefly in Iron Man 3, where Tony Stark activates the “House Party Protocol” – you know, the scene where he summons all his Iron Man armours from his home. Here’s the photo of the polybag of 5002946 Silver Centurion. ![]() While I don’t play video games, the game seems to be reviewing quite well by game critics! Here’s a short review and plenty of photos of the brand new LEGO Marvel Super Heroes polybag. I picked up a copy of the game (despite me not being much of a console gamer) so that I could get my hands on the Silver Centurion polybag. The preorder bonus was an EB Games exclusive here in Australia, and in the US, I believe that it’s with Gamestop. The release also includes a long-standing tradition of incentivizing preorders by giving fans an opportunity to own the exclusive new LEGO polybag – 5002946 Silver Centurion! I own a lot of Iron Man action figures (and I mean a lot), but this Silver Centurion Marvel Select is just a complete joy for a classic comics fan.LEGO Marvel Avengers, the new video game developed by TT Games was released last week on Thursday here in Australia. EE currently has him marked down by 2 bucks for pre-orders, which is better than nothing. The Marvel Select Silver Centurion Iron Man figure is now up for order, and is scheduled to be released in early 2021. The hinges on the swivel wrists a definitely a lifesaver for blasting poses. The one aspect of this action figure giving me some slight pause is the single-hinged knees and elbows-but even so, the poses look great in the official photos, even without the double-hinged knees and elbows we’re used to from Hasbro. There’s even a helmeted head in scanner mode, just like in the classic Bob Layton comic book art! Crazy taters! DST just blew my mind, going above and beyond with the accessories for this release. Hasbro did a swell job with their accessories for this armor, but Diamond Select Toys has surprisingly flown in to spank the Legends iteration in the accessories department as well! Along with a sweet comics-based Tony Stark head, we also get seven effects pieces in four different colors (including slick-looking pulse bolts and a wicked Unibeam)! ![]() Even the chest reactor is picture-perfect comic-accurate! ![]() The metallic red paint looks more on-point to what I expect for this armor permutation, the proportions such as the chest look more authentic, and the shoulder pads on the MS Silver Centurion Iron Man are more accurate to the actual armor design and can rotate with the arms. The Hasbro Silver Centurion Legends figure is a solid figure at a low price of $19.99, but even at the higher $29.99 price-point, I think Diamond Select’s version wins this battle. Hasbro recently revealed and started shipping their own Walgreens exclusive Marvel Legends Silver Centurion Iron Man (no, I haven’t found it yet-I’m still hunting), so Diamond will have some stiff competition here for collectors’ dollars. First up, the almost certainly headliner for this batch of solicitations: the totally unexpected Marvel Select Silver Centurion Iron Man! DST can basically hit us with characters from any era at any time, but I can definitely admit this choice was a complete shock to me.
